West Langley is proud to offer our students of Aboriginal ancestry enrichment programs as part of their learning, while helping to educate all students on the importance of this historical perspective. Our Aboriginal Support Worker, Mabeline Akai, works with small groups of students, whole classes and the entire school to help share the great stories of the Aboriginal People.
We operate on a Status Blind self-identification policy (meaning no proof of Aboriginal identity is required), but in order to be eligible for enhanced support, they must complete a copy of the Self Identification form.
