Information
- The first ever Langley International Film Festival is upcoming. The festival is a fundraising event for the Langley School District Foundation which supports all schools in Langley.
Kindergarten registration continues. Please remind your friends and neighbours that we send our initial projections of numbers in February, so the more we know, the better!- I’m pretty sure the culprits aren’t part of our immediate school community, but if you are bringing your dogs by the school, please clean up after them. Pretty please? We have been finding lots more leave-behinds than usual lately, and they’re not from coyotes! 🙂
- Lacrosse is coming! We are excited to have a one-session introduction to lacrosse coming to the school March 7 & 8. Students will learn about the basics of the sport and will get to try it out!
- Games Club is meeting this Thursday after school!
- West Langley is about to have a Knitting Club! Students will need to bring a set of needles, and some yarn. Mrs. Powar will teach them what to do next! The club will meet on Wednesdays after school in the library, starting February 10.
- Wab Kinew is speaking at Yorkson Creek Middle School later in February.
- Pink Shirt Day is coming! Watch for order forms for pink shirts to come home early this week.

PAC This Week
The PAC would like to thank Last Raps baseball for coming to West Langley last week and teaching the kids some important fundamentals of baseball. Also, a special thanks to North Langley Diamond Sports for generously donating baseball hats for every student.
It’s a quiet week for PAC, but remember you can always support our year round Cobs fundraiser by stopping in and mentioning West Langley Elememtary when purchasing your fresh baked goods.
