Quote(s) of the Week

Interesting Reading & Viewing

  • Coping Skills for Anxious Times. An audio podcast that talks about anxiety, and how adults need to help kids face it, rather than helping them calm away from it, or avoid anxious situations. It was food for thought for me. A 20 minute listen, but worth the time. Irony alert, though, some of what the speaker talks about in terms of the after-effects of childhood anxiety can be awfully anxiety-inducing for parents.
  • Digital literacy for digital natives. What do kids (or adults, for that matter) need to know about what they see online?
